Honest Repair Before New Material
Our first rule in Oneco: never bury a problem. Siding installed over damp or termite-riddled framing looks fine for a season and fails for a decade. So every project starts with exploration — we pull suspect boards, probe the framing, treat or replace what is compromised, and only then hang new cladding over a continuous moisture barrier. We photograph the open wall at every step, because you deserve to see what your money fixed, not just what covers it.
Materials chosen for this climate and these budgets
Fiber-cement lap siding is the long-game choice: immune to termites, indifferent to humidity, and available in profiles that keep an older cottage looking like itself. Quality vinyl siding is the value choice, and we install it properly — fastened to spec for Gulf Coast wind, flashed at every opening — because cheap vinyl work is the most common failure we get called to redo. For eaves, vented aluminum soffit and wrapped fascia end the repainting treadmill for good.
Why Neighbors on the 301 Corridor Call Alpine
We have put 25 years into exterior work between Bradenton and Sarasota, and Oneco jobs get the same crew standards as waterfront ones: straight courses, tight miters, sealed cut edges, and a magnet sweep of the yard before the trailer leaves. It adds up — more than 2,000 projects completed — and it is all backed in writing.
- Rot and termite damage repair completed before any new siding is hung
- Fiber-cement and vinyl installation flashed and fastened for coastal wind
- Soffit and fascia replacement in low-maintenance vented aluminum
- Partial-wall and single-elevation repairs when a full re-side is overkill
That last item matters here. Plenty of Oneco homes need one bad wall fixed, not four walls sold — and we are glad to do exactly that, matched as closely as the old material allows. Every job, large or small, carries our 25-year workmanship warranty.
Start with a free on-site estimate. We will walk the house together, put a moisture meter on the suspect spots, and give you a written price for the honest scope — nothing more, nothing less.
