Exteriors for the Canals of the Cotee River

Port Richey grew up around water — the Pithlachascotee River winding to the Gulf, the finger canals dredged for the waterfront boom of the 1960s and 70s, and the salt marshes now protected inside Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park. Most of the city's housing dates from that boom: single-story block ranches on slabs, many of them in flood zones, nearly all of them now past the fifty-year mark. Keeping these homes sound is a specific craft — equal parts storm engineering, corrosion management, and honest triage — and it is what Alpine Exteriors has practiced for 25 years on Florida's Gulf Coast.

The Three Upgrades That Matter Most Here

Roofs that satisfy carriers and storms alike

Insurance pressure hits Pasco County's older housing stock hard, and a 1970s ranch with a 16-year-old shingle roof can become uninsurable overnight. Our replacements are built to generate wind-mitigation credits: sealed decks, upgraded nailing, self-adhering underlayment, and paperwork your agent can submit the same week. On canal streets west of US 19 we add corrosion-resistant flashing and fasteners, because Gulf salt rides the sea breeze well inland.

Impact windows for storm-zone peace of mind

Original aluminum awning and jalousie windows still survive in surprising numbers here. Impact replacements transform these homes — hurricane protection with no panels to hang, less noise off the US 19 corridor, and cooling bills that finally behave.

Siding, soffit, and fascia renewal

Gables, soffits, and fascia are the rot points on block ranches. We rebuild them in fiber cement and vented aluminum so the roofline sheds water and the attic breathes.

For waterfront owners we pay attention to what the house faces. Dock-side elevations take reflected glare off the canal on top of direct sun, and they weather noticeably faster than the street side — so our inspections always include a lap around the seawall side, not just what shows from the driveway.

  • Insurance-driven roof replacement with full mitigation documentation
  • Impact window packages sized for 1960s–80s block openings
  • Fiber cement gable and trim work that ends the rot cycle
  • Salt-tolerant materials for canal-front and near-Gulf streets

Straight Answers, Backed for 25 Years

More than 2,000 completed projects have taught us that Port Richey homeowners value one thing above all: being told the truth about what needs replacing and what does not. Sometimes a roof has honest years left and we say so. When work is warranted, our 25-year workmanship warranty covers the installation in writing — a longer horizon than any insurer demands.

Start with a free on-site estimate. Whether your home overlooks a canal, backs up to the salt springs preserve, or sits in the quieter blocks east of the highway, we will inspect the full exterior and map out a plan that fits both the house and the budget.
