Fiber cement leads most of our county work. It is non-combustible, termite-proof, and dimensionally stable in humidity that makes wood-based products swell. Factory-finished color options hold up against UV dramatically longer than field paint, which matters when your south and west walls take full afternoon sun off a pool deck or a wide Florida lawn.
On block-and-stucco homes — the default construction here since the 1950s — siding is often the smarter alternative to yet another stucco patch-and-paint cycle. We fur out and flash the wall correctly, which also gives us the chance to fix the cracked stucco, failed sealant joints, and rusted weep details hiding underneath. On frame gables, second stories, and additions, we replace swollen hardboard and rotting T1-11 with cladding that will still look right decades from now.
Trim and edges get equal attention: PVC fascia and corner boards, vented soffit for attic airflow, and kick-out flashing where rooflines meet walls — the single spot where we find the most hidden rot in this county.
