Exteriors Engineered for Life Above the Intracoastal
Harbor Bluffs enjoys something almost no Pinellas County community has: elevation. Perched on the bluff above the Intracoastal Waterway by the Belleair Causeway, these streets look down on the water instead of up at flood maps. But height buys no mercy from the air itself — salt haze off the Gulf works on every fastener, coil, and coating in the neighborhood year-round, and the wind that makes the bluff breezy in February arrives unfiltered when a storm spins up the coast. Alpine Exteriors builds and rebuilds exteriors here with materials graded for exactly that exposure.
The housing stock makes the work distinctive, too. Most of Harbor Bluffs went up in the 1950s and 60s — low-slung block ranches with wide eaves, many still carrying original aluminum windows, aging tile or built-up roof sections, and fascia that has been repainted a dozen times over rot that never got removed. These are excellent houses, built when builders overbuilt. They deserve renovation to the same standard.
