What We Install — and Why It Lasts Here
For barrier island work we lead with fiber cement. It will not rot, feed termites, or melt in reflected heat, and factory-applied finishes hold their color against salt and UV far longer than site-applied paint on old stucco. Where a project calls for it, we pair the siding with PVC trim boards that machine like wood but never absorb a drop of water.
Just as important is everything you never see. We detail housewrap and flashing for horizontal, wind-driven rain rather than the gentle vertical kind, hold clearances above roof surfaces and pool decks so panels are not wicking moisture, and fasten with hardware chosen for a marine environment — because on this island, an ordinary galvanized nail is a rust streak waiting to happen.
- Full re-siding — complete tear-off and replacement with fiber cement lap or panel systems
- Stucco-to-siding conversions — a clean, modern skin over tired block-and-stucco elevations
- Soffit and fascia rebuilds — the rot-prone edge where island rooflines fail first
- Gables and accent walls — board-and-batten or shake-look panels for coastal character
A Straightforward Process, Start to Finish
Every Belleair Beach project begins with a free on-site estimate. We measure the actual walls, probe suspect trim for hidden rot, and talk honestly about which elevations take the worst weather exposure — often the answer is that the Gulf-facing side needs a different spec than the canal side. You get a written scope with real product names, not allowances that balloon later.
Alpine Exteriors has spent 25 years doing this one category of work, which is why we are comfortable backing every installation with a 25-year workmanship warranty. When the crew leaves, your lawn is magnet-swept for fasteners, your landscaping is intact, and your home is wearing a skin built for the island it sits on. If your siding is faded, soft at the corners, or simply overdue, we would be glad to take a look.
