Island-Grade Materials or Nothing
The 2024 storm season made the stakes plain on this island, and the lesson was not subtle: details decide outcomes. Homes with sealed roof decks, corrosion-resistant hardware, and impact glazing came through fundamentally differently than homes without them. When we work in Anna Maria, those details are the baseline, not the upgrade.
Roofing
Standing-seam metal dominates our island work for good reason — concealed stainless fasteners, wind ratings appropriate to a coastal wind-borne debris zone, and a service life that shrugs off salt. Where the budget or the architecture calls for shingles, we spec high-wind products over a fully sealed deck and document every mitigation feature for your insurer, which matters enormously in an island insurance market.
Siding for the cottage character
Anna Maria's mix runs from surviving Old Florida cottages to new elevated coastal construction, and both want the same finishes — lap siding and board-and-batten looks that read beach cottage. We deliver them in fiber cement fastened with stainless hardware, which keeps the character while refusing to rot, feed termites, or shed paint after two salty summers.
Windows and doors
Impact-rated glazing is simply the cost of entry here. We install units engineered for coastal wind zones that also tame the heat load of west-facing Gulf glare — and end the shutter scramble every time a storm enters the Gulf.

Alpine Exteriors brings 25 years of Gulf Coast experience and more than 2,000 completed projects to a place where corner-cutting gets exposed within a couple of seasons. Every project carries our 25-year workmanship warranty — on an island, that promise is only as good as the fastener schedule behind it, which is why ours is written into every scope. Begin with a free on-site estimate: we will walk the house, note what the salt has already claimed, and give you a plan in writing for what island weather will test next.
